Alt-rock energy. Blues flavor. Buffalo heart.
Hip Monarch is a four-piece alt-rock band from Buffalo, NY, known for their big-hearted sound, bluesy undertones, and melodic edge. Their music blends emotional songwriting, dynamic grooves, and alt-rock energy.
Formed out of Buffalo’s open-mic scene, Hip Monarch quickly built a reputation for engaging performances that get audiences singing, dancing, and feeling good. Their 2024 self-titled debut album, recorded at Buffalo’s GCR Studios, showcases the band’s authentic mix of grit, melody, and drive—laying the foundation for a rising presence across Western New York.
Frontman Raymond Kropczynski leads with expressive vocals, rhythm guitar, and harmonica, channeling warmth and conviction into every song. Rick Poy (drums, vocals) brings award-winning experience from Buffalo’s Copper & Gin, while Zach Siegel (lead guitar, vocals) adds melodic fire, honed from sharing stages with Denny Laine of Wings and The Voice semi-finalist Cami Clune. Lee Hoffman (bass) anchors the group with groove and precision, drawing on his formal music training at the University at Buffalo and years in the local scene.
Together, Hip Monarch delivers a sound rooted in authenticity, energy, and connection. With heartfelt originals and select covers that keep crowds moving, they’re emerging as one of Buffalo’s most promising new acts—a band built on grit, groove, and heart.
